In a surprising collaboration that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden rituals and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.

The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Material

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana in addition to several items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Special weapons
• Survey Corps vehicle

Third Free Story Addition

This update also adds the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
