Around 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland woke up experiencing outages on Monday morning after powerful weather events swept through the region, producing strong winds topping 109km/h.

Locals reported giant hailstones as large as seven centimeters in some areas. Weather authorities verified that various areas across the state had been impacted by large hailstones.

Southern State's Storm Challenges
Meanwhile, nearly one thousand energy customers in the southern state also faced power outages after the metropolitan area saw its most precipitation in a year and a half.
Emergency response teams received nearly 600 emergency reports across the area, mainly for structural issues but also for collapsed vegetation and water accumulation.

During the peak on yesterday, over 28k electricity consumers in the state were lacking electricity.
Meteorological Predictions
Damp conditions were predicted to continue along large portions of eastern Queensland this coming days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the coast.
Tuesday was expected to become the most rainy day, with persistent thunderstorm potential expected across different parts of both states.

Health officials cautioned that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
